What is the deal with coaches trying to lock up 8th grade talent. I understand that many of these 8th grade phenoms will turn out to have great high school and college careers, but to lock them up in 8th grade doesn't seem right. Too many variables out there for assurance like that. Coaches should be focused on locking up older talent like juniors and seniors and spending time trying to pick out the sleepers and good college prospects.
